I was transfering a lot of photos from my memory card to my hard drive. When it was done copying I opened it in lightroom and then formatted the card thinking everything was there. When I went to go edit the photos only about 170/500 of the photos were there. What do I do??? is there any chance of recovering it? The photos were there on my camera, it was there on my card, but not when I copied it over (maybe I did too large of a batch or something). Now it's formatted and I don't know if I can still recover them, I ran recuva for an hour and it came up with nothing.

I just started photography August of 2025 and I've dabbled in a lot of stuff (portrait, street, landscape, cityscape, etc.) I primarily shoot for cosplayers and dance crews but most of my services have been for free labeled as "building skills/portfolio building" but I'm at the point where I feel like I could start charging but I don't feel like my editing/composition skills are good enough to charge. What should I start charging at or should I at all?

a couple friends and I applied for idolfes some of us just wanted free tickets, some wanted to perform but all of us wanted to have fun with it and bring back "by the fans for the fans" instead of this corporate "give us more money" stuff. but that's just if we even get in
