X-Men: For the Children

While on a solo mission, Kwannon encounters a group of mutant children who are being abused in a group home. After rescuing the children, she approaches Emma Frost and pleads for more to be done for the children of the world, mutant and human alike. Together they establish THE NURSERY, a refuge in an undisclosed location for the abused, exploited and forgotten children of the world.

MAIN TEAM

The White Queen-Emma Frost

Through buisness savvy and some psychic manipulation, Emma Frost has financed the construction of a secret home for her charges. She knows she can’t save them all, but she’s going to give it her best try. Once more, for the children.

Psylocke-Kwannon

The loss of her daughter is a wound that will never fully heal but Kwannon has made it her mission to ensure no child suffers a similar fate if she can stop it. Finding a kindred spirit in Emma and perhaps her life’s true purpose.

Iceman-Bobby Drake

If you asked him, Bobby probably wouldn’t say he had an “abusive” childhood. At least not till after he’d had a couple therapy sessions with Emma. The trauma Bobby had suffered was emotional, which made it difficult for him to recognize. Knowing all too well the pain of feeling unloved as a queer child, Bobby decided to devote himself to Emma and Kwannon’s new project.

Hellverine-Akihiro

Kwannon thought of one person when she and Emma began compiling a list of potential team members. Growing up and being referred to as “mongrel” and treat accordingly, Akihiro knew the pain of being unwanted. He wouldn’t admit it but when Kwannon explained this venture he felt hopeful.

Rogue-Ana Marrie Lebeau

When she ran away from home, Anna Marrie didn’t think she’d end up a globe trotting super villain, but under the manipulations of her adoptive mothers she did a lot of things she wasn’t proud of. She knew her mothers loved her in their own way, but the things they made her do simply weren’t ok. She needs to make sure no child is exploited the same way she was.

HOME TEAM

A field team is only as good as those who support them and with a bunch of kids to look after THE NURSERY will need all hands on deck.

Temper-Idie Okonkwo

A true powerhouse was needed to be the main line of defense for THE NURSERY and Temper is fully devoted to the cause.

Stacy X-Miranda Leevald

While on Krakoa, Stacy found she rather liked children, especially babies. It was her idea to partner with firehouses around the world.

Barnell Bohusk & Angel Salvador

After an incident where one of their own children was the target of anti mutant bullying, Beak, Angel and their children were invited to live at THE NURSERY and be sort of “Den Parents”.

Karma-Xian Coy Manh

Having had enough of the superhero life and simply wanting a place for her siblings to be safe, Xian eagerly signed up for a teaching position at THE NURSERY.

Gambit-Remy Lebeau

When his wife informed him of an opportunity to help the children of the world Remy needed no convincing. Besides being a capable protector of THE NURSERY, his true role is head chef. Someone’s got to feed the children and along with his sous chef Glob Herman, these children are eating mighty well.

Sophie, Phoebe, Irma, Celeste and Esme Cuckoo have many roles in THE NURSERY. Sometimes they’re teachers, other times they serve as a monitoring network but no matter the task if you dare threaten THE NURSERY best hope the Five in One don’t find you.
