Help me decide: register for the dream double stroller now or be practical and upgrade later?
Help me figure out what stroller to buy because I am spiraling 😅
Baby #1 is due in August, but our baby shower is at the end of June so I need to finalize our registry ASAP (invites go out tomorrow).
I am SO undecided on what stroller system to register for:
Bugaboo Kangaroo
Nuna Demi Next
Joie Ginger
Here’s my dilemma…
We already know we want to start trying for baby #2 when our first turns 1, so there’s a good chance we’ll have 2 under 2 or close in age.
So do we:
Go ahead and register for a double stroller now (since this will likely be our only baby shower), OR
Go with a more budget-friendly single stroller now and upgrade to a double later?
My struggle is that I feel weird asking for such a big-ticket item when we also have other expensive registry items like a crib, rocking chair, bottle washer, and even a deep freezer… BUT we also have 140+ adults invited (we didn’t have a wedding), and Amazon allows group gifting, so maybe this is exactly what registries are for?
Current thoughts:
Bugaboo Kangaroo: Love that the seats aren’t stacked and both kids seem to get a better ride
Nuna Demi Next: Nice, but I can’t get past one seat feeling so low
Joie Ginger: Most budget-friendly and probably what we’d do if we stay single stroller for now
Basically… do we plan ahead and ask for the stroller we really want for our future family now, or play it practical and save the double stroller decision for later?
Would love real-life advice from parents who planned for multiple kids close together — did you regret buying the double early, or regret buying twice?
