I’ve done yoga on and off over the last 8 years or so and I’ve recently gotten back into it. There are two asanas that are similar but I experience completely differently.

Half moon

Warrior 3

Half moon might be my favorite pose. I love all the ways of getting in and out of it. Right now I’m using a block under me but previously I could do it well without.

Warrior 3 I despise. I can’t keep my hips level. they want to roll vertically. if I keep them level I can barely life my leg or keep my heel down.

Anyone have any insight into what I’m missing about warrior 3 or how to improve it?

So I’m now in my late 30s. I’ve always been tall and slim, small butt and boobs, I’m also trans so its puts me in this weird gray zone where some people just.cant.figure.me.out. both when it comes to my gender but also my age. I’ve had people think I was every age, gender, and sexual orientation out there.

A few years ago my wife and I are going for a hike on a trail that has an access fee. Nice older lady is taking the fee. We‘re both wearing hiking gear. Ive got some shorts, backpack, wide brim hat, sunglasses. My wife is wearing the same, she’s about my age but 8 inches shorter. Also looks young for her age.

The fee structure at this park is $5 if youre 13 and up, free if you’re 12 and under.

“Hello! Beautiful morning for a hike!”

”Yes ! Welcome!”

She then looks at me, looks to my wife and addressing her, points to me and says.

”How old is he?“

We are both confused for a second.

i then just hand her my credit card and say “I’m 32.”

She not only read me as a boy, but a 5’10” 12 year old boy with his mom. She was so flabbergasted and apologetic. We laughed for the whole hike .

In hindsight I should have played dumb and gotten in for free.

Being androgynous has given me many stories like this. haha.
