I’m up to book 6, so no spoilers for the rest of the series please.

Just wondering if there was some sort of retcon regarding Mat’s memories? Because in earlier books, Mat seems to already have memories of past lives (like when he slips into the old tongue), but later on it seems like that’s all forgotten and the blame for his memories is placed entirely on the finns
