Planning an 4x4 Upper Mustang run (Nepal) from 1–10 May 2026.

This isn’t a typical “tour” - more of an overlanding setup. The idea is to drive in, keep things flexible, camp where it makes sense, and for those who prefer comfort, you can opt for hotels at your own pace/budget.

With Nepal tightening rules and permits (especially for Indian vehicles), this might be one of the last windows where taking your own vehicle inside and exploring freely is still possible.

Upper Mustang itself is a restricted region - only a small fraction of people visiting Nepal actually make it there. Raw landscapes, high altitude, rough terrain - the kind of place that’s less about ticking a destination and more about the journey itself.

Fair warning - this is not a leisure drive. It’s going to test both you and your machine.

If this sounds like your kind of trip, feel free to connect.
