Tundra Tool Storage - Rear Seat Delete
2016 Toyota Tundra CrewMax SR5
Done as a weekend project with no specific plans…just built as I went based on months of imagining.
Deleted rear seats, replaced with plywood base utilizing 6 of the 8 factory seat mounting holes…(I planned on using all 8 originally, but a minor oversight between the planning and execution process left me with a grade of 75%, which was still passing when I went to school so I’ll take it!)
Lower cubbies for miscellaneous storage with an elevated platform for tool bag/material storage, and mounted packout plates on the passenger side (will additionally get straps over the packouts for added securement in the near future)
Conduit kicker up to the plywood backplate for added stability in the event I want to mount anything on the backplate for more storage.
This is just the first step in my work-truck conversion. I’ve got a Leer DCC truck cap and Rack-It rack on order that are expected some time in early June…until then, this will have to do!
