Looking for a Technical Co-founder (Backend) — Product 70–80% Built, Close to Launch
Hey everyone, I am Nikhil from Delhi
I’m building MiloJulo— a location-based networking platform where people discover and connect with others around them based on what they actually do (students, traders, freelancers, gamers, etc).
This isn’t an idea-stage project anymore.
Current Status
We’re well into development:
\-Backend built using NestJS, PostgreSQL (PostGIS), Redis, BullMQ, GCP
\- Modular architecture with scalable design already in place
\- Core systems already developed:
\- Auth (JWT, OAuth, sessions)
\-User profiles (profession + interests)
\- Posts + interactions
\-Feed system (home, trending, nearby)
\- Chat schema (1-on-1 + groups)
\-Frontend is largely ready (\\\~85–90%)
We’re now in the final stretch:
\- Testing & integration
\-Real-time systems (WebSockets)
\- Notifications
\-Deployment & stability
The Situation
My CTO had to step away due to personal reasons.
So right now:
\-I’m leading product + direction
\-We have 2 junior developers continuing execution
\- The system is already built, but needs strong technical ownership to finish properly
What I’m Looking For
Looking for someone who can step in as a Technical Co-founder / Backend Lead and:
\-Take ownership of backend architecture decisions
\-Guide and unblock junior developers
\- Handle the final 20% (which is the hardest part)
\-Help us ship a clean, working MVP
Ideal Fit
\-Strong backend experience (Node/NestJS or similar stacks)
\-Has built or shipped products before (even side projects count)
\-Understands scale, performance, and real-world deployment
\-Wants ownership, not just salary
