Israeli navy intercepts Global Sumud Flotilla
"Attention all international authorities, media and people of conscience around the world: what the Israeli Occupation Forces are doing right now against these boats is piracy.
They are jamming communications, threatening and forcibly boarding civilian vessels, redirecting boats against their will and obstructing humanitarian passage in international waters.
We are unarmed civilians from dozens of countries carrying humanitarian aid, food and baby formula to a population facing starvation under an illegal siege.
These actions are violations of international law committed against civilians on a humanitarian mission.
The Israeli Occupation Forces have no jurisdiction over international waters and no legitimacy to attack or obstruct humanitarian solidarity missions heading to Palestine.
The world must denounce these crimes. The world must denounce the ongoing genocide, the collective punishment and the violent blockade imposed on the Palestinian people.
We reaffirm that we are a non-violent mission. We will not be intimidated by military aggression, threats or illegal interference.
History will remember who remained silent and who chose to resist."
