In dating or arranged marriage setups, you’re often expected to make serious decisions with surprisingly little real insight.
A few conversations, a couple of meetings, maybe some surface-level details - and you’re supposed to judge long-term compatibility from that.
Birth details aren’t always available, and even when they are, they don’t always answer practical questions like:
How does this person think? What are their most dominant interests? What actually drives them? What kind of lifestyle do they lean toward? Their hidden needs and desires..
What makes it harder is that most people present a filtered version of themselves early on - consciously or unconsciously. You see politeness, rehearsed answers, and socially acceptable traits, but not necessarily their deeper patterns, contradictions, or real preferences.
So you’re left trying to read between the lines, relying on intuition, or making assumptions - which is where most mismatches begin.
And by the time you start seeing the real person, you’re often already emotionally invested or too far into the process to step back easily.
I’ve been experimenting with a way to bridge that gap.
Instead of relying on birth data, this approach looks at a person’s Instagram profile - specifically who they follow and the kind of content they engage with - to build a structured personality report.
The idea is simple: what someone consistently pays attention to, follows and their network reveals pattern about their interests, motivations, worldview, and behavioural tendencies that would ideally take months and years to figure out about a person.
What comes out of it is a fairly detailed personality read, depending on how active the person is - it could reveal things like;
- Core Identity & Interest Hierarchy : What truly defines them - their dominant interests, cultural anchors, and identity signals
- Psychological Profile & Thinking Style : How they process the world - analytical vs intuitive, structured vs exploratory, depth vs surface
- Ambition & Growth Orientation: Their relationship with success, self-improvement, and long-term direction
- Lifestyle Blueprint: Their natural preferences across travel, entertainment, spending patterns, and daily habits
- Cultural & Social Positioning: Language, cultural roots, modern vs traditional leaning, and how they express identity socially
- Emotional Drivers & Motivations: What internally drives them - stability, recognition, curiosity, escapism, creativity, etc.
- Social Behaviour & Relationship Tendencies: How they interact, bond, communicate, and show up in personal relationships
- Taste & Aesthetic Signals: The kind of content, art, humor, and environments they are drawn to
- Contradictions & Personality Paradoxes: Where their behaviour reveals duality (e.g., intellectual + playful, traditional + modern)
- Hidden Inclinations & Unexpressed Desires: Subtle patterns that point to what they want but may not explicitly express
- Influence Triggers & Conversation Pathways: What topics, ideas, or angles are most likely to engage and connect with them
- Compatibility & Friction Indicators: Early signals of alignment, mismatch, and potential areas of conflict
It’s not a replacement for astrology - but it works well as a complementary analysis to better understand someone for long term compatibility.
