5th Gen It Girl isn't decided yet.

This may be random, but I just wanted to speak up about the 5th gen It girl arguments I've seen online, usually about whether Ahyeon, Wonhee, Ian, or Gehlee are the It girls.

Personally, I want Wonhee to be the It girl (imo) BUT it isn't decided yet, so why are we being comfortable labelling idols as the It girl and then fighting others when people label other girls as it girl?

It girl has lost its meaning. Kpop fans nowadays label It girl as “the prettiest/popular one” when It Girl has always been about Influence. I'm tired of the arguments of Monstiez (I think that's the fandom name) and Glitts (idk if that's the fandom name, cuz I'm js a casual fan of Illit) about Ahyeon/Wonhee being It Girl.

It's too early for us to say that someone is an It girl because 5th gen barely started. There's still new girl groups to debut, like Unchild recently debuting. New girl groups = more potential it girls. So labelling someone as an It girl so early is crazy. Like, I'm alright if you praise your idol, saying she's it girl because that's your opinion, but arguing about it to others is just not okay. Because let's accept that 5th gen hasn't ended yet, we still have to wait and see what happens next <33

MY BELOVED OPPRESSOR IS THE PEAK.

I wasn't expecting anything from this, but when I actually read it—first chapter until chapter 43 HAD ME SOBBING NONSTOP. I'm extremely softhearted, but reading manhwas like this witch of mine, foam of the waves, for my dearest Juliet, made me kinda immune to tragic stuff, but when I read it—I tell you what, I never stopped crying. I sobbed so hard my eyes hurt, I binged it and I just couldn't stop crying that I had to pause every chapter and go to YouTube to watch some try not to laugh videos (spoiler, it didn't work)

Anyway, I highly recommend it! The art? Gorgeous. The characters? PERFECTLY REALISTICALLY WRITTEN. The plot and pacing? Might just be the most well written ever. Also, the war aspect had me CRYING. The ending and resolution was also CHEF'S KISS.

Like it's not your typical “my husband mistreats me so I run away but I fall in love with him anyway” kinda trope that is super basic. It's not written to be basic. It's super complex, every character is written SUPER thought out, and it was ABSOLUTE CINEMA. It sheds light to a LOT OF THINGS. I emphatized with the female lead so much, and even more so the male lead. At first, I hated him, but then I realized just how realistic he was written. The trauma, the PTSD, the scars—IT'S ALL SO REALISTIC. It didn't even feel like fiction to me.

I suggest you check it out, or you might just regret not ever doing so. I'm blessed to be the first in my bloodline to read this masterpiece. ABSOLUTE CINEMA.

It's about time we accept the truth.

While I am personally sad over Heeseung leaving enhypen, I don't think it's right for us to be spamming his name on members lives.

Boycotting isn't the right way either. Yes, HYBE is an evil company, but if we boycott enhypen, won't that just make it hard for the group themselves and even more for Heeseung?

As a fan, I know myself that Heeseung really wanted to make his own music. Ever since ILAND, it's very NOTICEABLE. There could be underlying reasons behind him leaving, but at this point, there's really no saying that he'd even come back. Enhypen is now 6, and we will cherish the memories when they were 7. If we push HYBE too much, they might even disband ENHYPEN. Also, it's not like Heeseung will disappear. He will debut as a solo, we can still support him, and Enhypen. Heeseung and Enhypen members are still going to be friends off screen, and we should be just happy that this ended like this. If HYBE responds to our protests, I feel like it wouldn't be in a positive way. It's either they'll disband enhypen themselves, or even forbid the members from meeting Heeseung.

I know, we're all sad, it's hard to accept that someone we love is leaving the group you stan, but it's not right for us to disregard other member's feelings. Especially the hate on Sunoo. Sunoo is doing so good singing heeseung's parts, and yet he gets criticism. Are we really sad because a member left enhypen, or sad because it's HEESEUNG who left enhypen?

The members have feelings too. We shouldn't add pain for them, because we KNOW they're hurting EVEN MORE THAN US. Jay told us to stop mentioning Heeseung, and even Jungwon. The members themselves said THAT. We should learn to accept the truth, especially since Heeseung will be performing solo as EVAN this June on KCON. Let's just support the group and Evan.

Army are so toxic, and it's infuriating.

This is probably not a hot take, and we've definitely hears this a lot of times, but Army is SO toxic and PARASOCIAL.

Is it just me or whenever I see someone comment they're an army under a thread, I just know that they're going to go crazy if someone said the slightest wrong thing about BTS? Like I've seen this post on tiktok about the secret beef between Jimin and Jeongyeon of twice. As a Once, I was laughing so hard—because this is an og meme most of us know.

Then, I see an army saying “she's jealous of him, because she's unknown in korea and outside korea” and it irritated me, because are we talking about the same Jeongyeon, FROM TWICE? One of the biggest GG, and the biggest kpop GG in Japan?! I get it, I respect BTS because they're very talented, but the world DOES NOT revolve around BTS. I hate how they always say without BTS, kpop wouldn't have suceeded. Invalidating other's work made me super angry.

Someone also said “Exo? Seventeen? Red Velvet? Do those actually even exist? I bet Jungkook looks at them in disgust because they're FLOPS. They can't even go near my glorious BTS” LIKE??

Exo paved their own way, Seventeen paved their own way, Red Velvet paved their own way. Shut your nonsense saying BTS PAVED OTHER'S WAY.

It's annoying that majority of the Army I meet always ALWAYS have to be so obsessed with their idols. Someone literally threw stuff at me when she learned I was a Carat because she was so bitter that Seventeen had the most selling album for FML, and BTS arirang didn't win? Like they kept saying we rigged it, and that Seventeen is an unknown kpop group.

I mean, I don't really care. I'm not an Army, nor do I care about what happens in that group, because I genuinely do not have any interest in them. I just avoid that group because of one reason: THE FANDOM.

They're so parasocial, it disgusts me whenever I see a character AI of jungkook, Jimin, or other members, because that's just so... disgusting? Even the fanfics is insane. That's crossing the line. Basic human dignity, where?

Blinks is already annoying, but Army is even more so. I have so many things to say about Army, but i'll end this here.

EDIT: Since everyone is getting confused, I didn't mean to generalize every ARMY. I want this post to be specifically towards the toxic ARMY I met, not the good ones. I'm very sorry for wording this SO WRONG. I acknowledge my mistake, I'm very sorry.
