How might I just play stuff

not sure if there is an easy answer. but I know the pentatonic minor and major scale. I can do a looping backing track with chords and just play the scales in a way that sounds cool and make music.

i could just go scale to scale but when I listen to someone like Andertons YouTube they just jam All over the fretboard and it seems to work. and I’m not sure how to do that without it just sounding terrible. what am I missing to do this?

Still struggling to understand music theory

been trying to learn it. I know the minor and major pentatonic scale. I know chords in the minor and major and how they sound different. I somewhat understand caged and how that works.

what I don’t understand is every YouTube video I watch just sis overwhelming in about 2 seconds. and keys of the guitar still make no sense. feel lIke I need to see it in the absolute basics maybe to build up from there I’m not sure. anyone know of videos or what helped them?

i play electric. have for 2.5 years now a lot. would say im around intermediate. can play a lot of riffs and solos and a couple songs. I like learning solos the best but have learned some minor theory and some chords.

my current issue I’m not sure where to go from here. learning more riffs and solos seems kind of pointless. getting better the current ones is ok but sort of the same. I still love guitar just not sure what direction to go so i feel like it could kill my passion

had this a bit over a month now so figure I’ll share a review as I didn’t see many when I got it. I’ve had 3 premium Indonesian guitars now and all were super well made and solid. maybe got lucky but they have all been pretty good so far.

pros;I like the colour. love black and gold. I like the pickups. Not super hot. better for all around playing which is more my style. I like that it’s lightweight so if I play for hours it doesn’t wear on my shoulder. love how smooth the stainless frets and ebony board is. like glass for bending. neck is nice too but wouldnt say I love it. sort of thcik with a flat bottom so gives an odd feel in the hand almost but I still like it.

cons; biggest is the gloss black finish. fingerprints show up super easy. Matte black could maybe be better. I don’t like trems so th full floating is useless to me but it is nice looking. couple spots on the body didn’t get fully covered in paint so they are showing whcuh for the cost is kind of lame.
