Been riding an 80s Panasonic mountain/atb for several years. Finally ready to splurge on my first new bike. Research has led me to these two (as well as fairlight which I eliminated due to high cost/duties). Midnight special with carbon fork and wheels at $3499 built. Wilde Rambler at $1300 frame (but would build similarly). Would be used for commuting and some long rides. 80/20 road v gravel. Thoughts?

Been on my ride list for a long time but I'm not sure how to get back from Ellensburg. Flixbus doesn't seem to accept bikes on this route despite heavily advertising their bike friendliness. Anyone have any luck with this or other options to consider?
