Headcanon: Alastor was completely terrified of dying and going to Hell before making his deal.

Headcanon: Alastor was completely terrified of dying and going to Hell before making his deal.

While Alastor appeared to be practicing some form of Voodoo or Black magic while making a deal, I get the feeling though that he was some raised with a combination of Voodoo and Christian beliefs; and was either an atheist or cafeteria-christian as an adult, likely only going to church with his mother.

However, while living in the high life in New Orleans, something scared Alastor, or made him realize that his life is finite and that he will not live forever (this would've likely been triggered by the death of a loved one,Mimzy or his mother, or even staring long enough at the lifeless corpse of one of his victims). This causes him to panic:

"This person died today..."

"I could die some day..."

"I AM going to die someday*...!*"

"...And if Hell exists, that's where I'm going!!!!"

Keep in mind, at this point Alastor has no idea what Hell is like, let alone that it even exists, he more than likely imagined Hell as a fire and brimstone raining realm where he'd be wailing in agony in a lake of fire. Also Alastor does seem to live very vicariously while in New Orleans, even outside of his murders.

So with this knowledge, Alastor has two options: Repent and turn from his vicarious life-style, and potentially go back to living in lesser conditions(I get the feeling Alastor wasn't fond his way of life before New Orleans), OR accept that he is going to Hell, but he can try to secure a spot amongst the highest ranking demons by making a deal with one. I think we all know which one he picked.

Velvette would be just as egotistical & unhinged as Vox or Valentino if given the chance.

The consensus among most fans is that Velvette is the most level-headed of the Vees and the "babysitter" when Vox or Valentino throw their tantrums.

However, we forget that the Vees are a unit, and rely on each other to succeed. This also means keeping each other in check, making sure that one doesn't do anything stupid that could rock their boat. We see this with Vel and Val stopping Vox in the S2 finale, but we also see it with Vox trying to apologize for Velvette to Carmilla, and him making sure Valentino behaves in S1.

While we have definitely seen Vox at his worst, Velvette is far from without her own flaws: She's quick to pick fights and hurl insults without a second thought or unchecked ego(*Respectless*), and she can get easily upset over something like her hair getting ruined by Husker.

The point I'm getting at is that while some fans like to think Velvette is the "backbone" of the Vees, she has many similar flaws that caused Vox's defeat, and if unchecked, could cause her *own* downfall.

Why is Season 3 of the new series not on Paramount+ yet?

From the clips I see on YouTube, it seems like more great stuff, but apparently it's only aired on cable so far. What's the hold up?

So...is Cash still alive? And if so is there any story potential?

If he were to come back, I would be curious if they either made him an antagonist towards Blitz or Barbie; or maybe even try to make him sympathetic, what with losing his circus and wife in the fire.

Not trying to justify him being a shitty parent, but it would be interesting nonetheless.
