Biosecurity rules for shipping taxidermy from UK
Hello, I'm moving from the UK to Australia and shipping over some personal items via sea freight. I have a taxidermy bird in an enclosed glass/wood case. I have checked and it's not on the CITES protected species list so doesn't require a permit.
I have packaged it up well in a separate box and included the invoice from the antique auction it was bought from which includes a description and images.
As long as I declare it will I face any problems with biosecurity? I'm worried about being fined or it being destroyed. However, it's not clear what other steps I need to take, if any, when shipping it over. Thanks.
