Youngblud introduced me to Black Sabbath and now I'm having the time of my life listening to them
I'm from India and the English artist youngblud came here for a concert in the winter and I had no clue about who he was, but I attended the festival where he was performing and I happened to see his performance. His energy on stage was just insane, he carried that spirit of rock and roll which I thought only existed in the 80s and I would never see live on stage. He's just a magical performer and entertainer, and although most of the Audience didn't know his songs he was able to engage all of us just by his magical presence on stage and his love for India, which he kept expressing again and again.
When he performed Changes, he got really emotional and almost teary eyed on stage, and people in the audience started chanting "Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy". He said something about Ozzy and was just awed looking around into the audience.
I also started crying seeing the respect he held for another musician, and the performance was just magical enough to make me super emotional.
Since then I've been listening to Paranoid, Masters of Reality and Vol 4, and also Ozzy's Diary of a Madman. All these albums are freaking beautiful and just perfect. The lyrics, the riffs just hit me really really hard. I grew up listening to Pink floyd and prog rock but never got into "hard rock" music.
Now I just love Sabbath, and the spirit of Black Sabbath - everything from the bandmates looks, the band's aesthetic, the album covers, the culture around them, the place they hold in the hearts of Rock fans, and the music of course.
I'm at the beginning of a new journey. Just thought I'd share my story of finding Black Sabbath here.
