Very random, but we have a family cat and she is generally affectionate, but won’t come and sleep on your lap but come sleep beside you instead. She also isn’t very clingy and will just go off and do her own thing. She likes to hang around the family etc but whenever it’s just me in the house she is extremely clingy, I put a blanket over my legs and she loves to come and lay on them and kneed on my legs and then sleep in my lap for hours.

It makes me wonder if she is doing this because she is nervous without the whole family here, or because she feels happy and safe when it is just me? I’d hate to think she is nervous
