Pinwheel of death

Pinwheel of death

I design sheet metal art and other things I cut out on a fiber laser, so all 2D design in Onshape minus assembly which a rarely use.

When designing something is it better to import multiple designs once finished into the final part before creating the dxf?

Take for instance what I'm currently working on... I combined multiple drawings into one after exporting to dxf then inserting them back into one parts studio to do the final export of the DXF I intend to cut out. However I made some modifications in the final window and even a simple cut takes 30-90+ seconds to process.

Don't think its my gigspeed ubiquiti connection, M4-pro, I run OnShape in incognito mode to avoid conflicts with browser extensions.

Are there other things I can do to speed up this processing power on my end or is it all cloud related/ user limitations I'm pushing against?

I feel like SW still runs smoother in this regard than OnShape and I'm running it on a Mac through Parallel (virtual machine).
