The red symbol on top of the moonroof in the bird's eye view of the vehicle flashes 2-3 times the first time only when the camera is activated on a 2026 QX80. After that, it's gone. What is it? Couldn't find anything about it in the Owner's Manual.

I drive daily. Almost all the time I see drivers in other cars using handheld devices. At an approximate ratio of 70-30, the majority of such drivers are female, texting, mostly when stopped at red traffic lights.

Since using handheld devices could result in a major conviction, with serious implications on insurance premiums, why are so many people risking this?
