Is asvab score good for life for army and how many college credits needed for e2?

Hello, I was hoping to gain clarification regarding my asvab score. I joined national guard 10 years ago and shipped to basic, but I did not complete my training. I have an re3 JFW for a medical issue that wasn’t disclosed. It’s set and I’m good to go and I’m currently speaking with a reserve and guard recruiter. I have 27 level 100 college credits. I scored a 66 on the asvab. The guard recruiter told me I have to retake the asvab and go in as e1, and the reserve recruiter told me that in the army once you ship on an asvab score it’s good for life and I don’t need to retest. He also told me since I have over 24 credits that I can go in reserve as e2. Which is the truth regarding this? Any help is appreciated. I have a wife and three kids and looking to scratch the itch to serve. I’m looking to go MP which both have units close to me so that’s not an issue. I’m ok with deploying when needed, but I’m looking for the least amount of disruptions and more stability in my service. TRICARE and the va home loan are the benefits I care for the most. I know MA guard has better education benefits, but reserves are good enough for me to finish my degree at my community college and become a cop. Thanks everyone.

Should I go Army Reserve or Mass National Guard?

I’m currently 34 years old with a wife and 3 kids. I want to serve my country, always have but allowed life to get in the way. I’m ready to do it, and my wife supports me in this decision. I’m looking to complete my degree, I’m two semesters away from my associates in criminal justice. My goal is to become a civilian police officer and also I want to serve as a 31b. I know job doesn’t matter, but I want military police. Both branches have units within a similar distance to me so that’s not an issue. The TRICARE reserve select and the va home loan are the two benefits I care about most. The federal TA for the reserve covers my community college and most of a bachelors. I’m ok with being deployed, but I’m looking for the most predictability for my schedule in the civilian world which reserve seems to offer. I know MA Guard has better educational benefits, but Guard seems more disruptive due to state and political crap and time is more valuable to me. In my situation and goals, which one would be best for me? Thanks everyone talking to recruiters now, but want other opinions from someone not trying to get me to join lol.
