Game is hard, but still holds my attention
Since I am not really a 'gamer' and don't take anything related to gaming seriously and don't really make any effort to learn games or get good at them, I surprisingly do like Marathon anyway. Mostly I am attracted to the visuals, but the play part of it is pretty good - for me anyway. Today I got inside a building and was beseiged by bots. I think I killed like 20 of them and keep in mind I'm terrible at most aspects of gaming from a gamer's standpoint. Then I needed to hoof it across the map to get to exfil - time was running out. By the time I got there I was out of ammo in both weapons. I jumped down into the water pit where the exfil station was and natch there were more bots. They shot me and I revived. They shot me again and I revived again. The shot me again and then I crawled around and managed to evade them while the exfil completed. It was nuts and was really fun and exciting. If the game keeps serving that up, I'll keep eating.
