I've seen people in the HD2 sub, the masochist sub, and even a dude on a steam post call the main sub a place where "all people do is complain" and how it's full of crydivers.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, because I feel a LITTLE crazy, but just 6 days ago, right before the AMA happened and everything exploded, criticism was still a quick [POST DELETED] or even a ban? Was it not like a month ago that simply talking about the doxxing situation was a perma ban worthy offense that had the entire sub on fire because they were in damage control? I'm not asking this as a rhetorical question, I'm genuinely confused. Because ever since the AMA I've been pretty happy to see the main sub actually talk critically of the game, even constructively, about grievances I've had for a while now.
Edit: to clarify, some criticism DID exist on the main sub, but it was very little and generally kept to minor grievances. Even during Into The Unjust, a time for the game that was much worse than the game is now, didn't have the main sub on fire quite like it is now, suggest that moderation was severely pulled back.
What was common on the main sub was actually complaining ABOUT complaining, often about complaining that never even happened. Like "everyone stop complaining about warstriders being too hard" or "just turn down the difficulty" were frequent karma farms that happened on the front page.
