Hi mates! This a follow up post that I'm glad to be able to share [22 days after I made it to Emerald](https://old.reddit.com/r/supportlol/comments/1so7t29/after\_157\_games\_i\_finally\_reached\_emerald/), 114 games since then were needed to finally be able to wear a new badge.

An absolutely ridiculous 12W-1L streak I still cannot comprehend at the time of that previous post made me basically skip Emerald 4, and since then I have climbed slow and steady until today where, just like in Platinum 1, I managed to finally enter the new tier after 3 miserably close calls (99 and 98 LP in two of them last days...) and even an agonizing match before the final one where we were ahead and with dragon soul but top suddenly went afk and we couldn't win 4v5. Unsure why I still lost quite some points but thankfully they were not enough to stop me from making it to Diamond with the final victory.

At Emerald 3 my small enchanter champion pool of basically just Nami and Janna after I dropped Lulu and Sona for not feeling I was doing well enough on them got an addition with Milio, who I enjoyed playing in ARAM and was annoying me really hard whenever I faced him in rankeds because he really felt like a ticking time bomb before he made the ADC unstoppable... a feeling that kinda goes the same way with him on my hands. Winning lane feels very hard, going even is relatively easy, and from that point onwards if my team is autoattack heavy he feels like a super likely win.

My dear Janna on the other hand has taken quite the backseat and only sees situational play, as whenever I'm a bottom priority pick someone asks for swap and I'm too stupid kind to say no, and at some point I finally accepted the fact that picking Janna at the start usually ends with me giving the enemy a free counter or playing her into comps that don't work with her style, becoming dead weight.

And, well, since I'm first or second picking nearly every game... Nami has definitely become the MVP of my account! With a 61W-44L record she has really been the star of the climb, what a cutie.

After all this yapping you would expect me to be jumping of happiness and all that stuff, but... honestly I'm not satisfied at all with my performance q_q

In my Emerald post I was very clear about what were my issues and what I was super happy at having improved on, but for this one I really, really don't feel as if I have gotten visibly better.

I still make obvious overextends in lane trying to trade that get me punished, I still let my silly brain ignore the fight going on to clear that ward, or die because I had to go ward that dangerous spot no matter what. I still have no clue how to properly come back from games we clearly fall behind, which end with me just dying over and over trying to get vision, either that or just indecisively moving around not committing to anything and always late to help. I look so much at the minimap but I really don't feel I truly gather information on where I should be. And lastly my struggles with jungle teamfights are really making me go insane, it's impossible for me to keep up with whatever goes on there since everyone is so spread out and enemies jump from different sides as they please...

Obviously I also have some nice games where I feel like I played things really well, in special the ones the team gets ahead and my deep warding allows for tons of opportunities, some people even ask me if I'm smurfing which leaves me like "you haven't seen me on a bad game 💀", and... well, I have 23 more victories than defeats when black in Platinum it was basically a 50% WR, which it means I'm doing something correct to climb... but idk, I really don't feel like I have gotten much better really, so frustrating!

And, yeah, Emerald gets called elo hell and my post from 3 weeks ago had quite some comments of that kind, but honestly can't say I agree, Platinum 1-2 felt a ton worse and it really made me feel like I wasn't gonna get out of there. Despite how negative I feel about my performance, Emerald really felt like "if I keep playing I will climb, I'm sure of it" from the vibes of the matches. There are still plenty throws and pointless overextends, mines hella included, but when a teammate gets ahead they feel a lot more comfortable to play around to help them carry the game... I just wish I was a better laner to allow my ADC to be the star player more often.

Curious to see if I can make it much further from here, a massive skill wall is definitely coming soon and I feel that only playing enchanters will get me heavily punished not letting me adapt more to teamcomps, I already get punished hard often by my teammate grabbing Samira or Kai'sa and not being able to play an engager for them q_q
