Console edition update bugs

I was just reminded how bad the updates have been for me. I’m on an Xbox galaxy edition: the new cooling and cpu with 2TB.

Anyway, I reported numerous bugs on their difficult to find reporting thing. After several weeks they’re acknowledged. Sweet.

An update comes out- now bugs are fixed but create new bugs. Hud graphics overlapping essential text. Connection error boots when offline solo. Getting booted out of the game. Constant lock and lags. None of which happened before.

More frustrating, which isn’t the developers fault, is the never ending hoard of youboob idiots on PC telling console users tips which don’t apply to console because what we play is so out of date it’s not funny.

I had no idea we weren’t getting the same thing as the pc version. No one told me we weren’t getting that. No roadmap for getting us up to date. All silence.

Some dill weed on Reddit claiming to work for GRIP makes a post saying they’re monitoring things here. Bullshit.

$140 for a gimped game which gets worse every update.

The worst part. The absolute worst, is that when they release a patch they don’t even try it on a console first! This is evidenced by just the hud issue. Had they even bothered to turn on a console for 10 seconds or less they could have playtested it. But they didn’t. And that’s a massive failure.

I like the game. It’s got a lot of fun stuff with the gameplay loop. But cmon. Even Conan wasn’t this bad. But the lack of developer presence is the same.

Dudes- they didn’t even try the update before releasing it.

Let that sink in: they didn’t even try the update to see if it worked. Just amazingly sloppy work.

$140 for a game which doesn’t cost half that much for the same content, updated, on PC. Holy shit what a cash grab.

And they could t even respect the consumer by playtesting. Wow.
