First look at my D&D-inspired bird hunter made in Godot! 🐛
Just finished the first phase of my new project, Early Bird. It’s a simple mechanical loop: click a worm, roll the die, and hope you don't crit fail.
Current Mechanics:
- NAT 20: 2 Points (Critical Success!)
- Beat the DC: 1 Point
- NAT 1: -1 Point (The worm escapes!)
I’m working on this in my free time so no solid plan on release pipelines but I plan on moving into Phase 2 next, which involves implementing a shop system for Proficiency Bonuses and potentially some bird customization. Would love to hear some feedback on the art style and the "point-buy" progression idea!
Check it out here!
