Hi everyone!

A few months ago, I shared the first trailer for Champion of Lore, a hex-based turn-based
deckbuilding game I’ve been working on.

At the time, the game was in a much earlier state, and looking back now, it shows.

So I felt it was time to update it to better reflect the current state of the game.
I’ll leave the first trailer in the comments so you can compare both versions.

What changed?

First trailer:

  • No in-game sound yet (all audio was stock)
  • Very different visual style (colors, shaders, textures, cards style and art)
  • Old UI
  • Less clarity about the core gameplay

New trailer:

  • Original music made specifically for the trailer
  • The game now has its own sound design
  • Improved colors and overall visual clarity
  • New textures and animations
  • Clearer focus on the card system and full in-game UI
  • Reworked on-screen text to better match the game’s lore
  • Added transition shots to create a stronger narrative structure

The goal this time was not just to show gameplay, but to make the trailer feel more cohesive and easier to understand.

I’d love to hear your thoughts <3
