What is the best absolute, must try, restaurant in LA for a birthday?

We moved out of LA 2 years ago but will be back to pick up a car during my wife’s birthday on the 22nd. I have reservations at Nobu but she doesn’t have a particular interest in going. What would be your #1 no contest spot to have a small (4 people) birthday dinner at?

I recently (within the past 6 months) have started hearing a ticking noise coming from the front end of the vehicle when accelerating at any temperature but is only noticeable, from the inside at least, when driving close to another structure whilst the windows are down. My first thought is that it was the dreaded timing chain guides wearing down, which I’m not totally certain it isn’t, but it isn’t ever noticeable unless the car is under load while moving. If you rev the car at a stand still, it will not make any ticking noise once so ever.

While leaving a parking lot today I noticed that it made and noticeable clunk front the front end while under power at full lock. Ah ha I thought. It has to be one of the front axel boots that have either torn or leaked all their grease out.

When I got home I popped the car up on the curb to get it a bit off the ground to go underneath to double check my suspicions. Weirdly enough, neither of the front axels had any signs of leaking. Even though one of the axels looked like it was starting to live on borrowed time, with a small split starting to develop, there were 0 signs that either had failed in such a way that would force them to run dry.

I try to take care of my car myself and am religious about preventative maintenance and making sure everything is done to snuff. Oil changes every 4k miles, roof drains done, all filters changed every other oil change, and transmission fluid flushed and changed on interval. I am lost with what this could be.
