SF is basically my dream city. I feel the urge to lay down roots there (or the east bay). In my experience, people seem so friendly and creative. But lately I’ve seen thread after thread on how the city has absolutely no nightlife, it’s boring, and everywhere else is better for fun. I’m not really a party person. I don’t need a huge scene like NYC or Berlin. But I’m in my 20s and I like to go out dancing occasionally, and I especially appreciate a vibrant queer scene. I want to be on the West Coast but LA isn’t my scene. So it’s a bit concerning that people seem to hate that part of the Bay Area so much. I’m having trouble telling if people are exaggerating, or if it’s really as impossible to have a night out dancing in SF as people say. I’ve even seen people say Capitol Hill in Seattle is a tier above anything in SF. So bitches, I’d love your feedback.
