I also just posted on r/quilting. It won’t let me cross-post to both?
TLDR - looking for a (preferably electric) sit/stand desk/table that won’t jiggle much at high sewing speeds in standing mode.
Now that I’ve given up on the Tasmanian ii sewing table I had ordered in I think February, I’m trying to find another solution. I’m looking for a sit/stand desk that doesn’t shake a lot at standing height with pedal to the floor. My current computer desk would, and I looked at the Eleanor desk at one point but it shakes like crazy with the dealer machine on it. The Tasmanian was pretty stable but unfortunately I just don’t trust Arrow’s latest “delayed until” late June date won’t slip further after their rep repeatedly reassured my local shop into April that it was on track for May 1.
I looked at the Husky tables and the only wobble I think I would have at standing height would be from the wheels (even when locked), but I could use the leveling feet. But I’d really prefer electric if possible. The floor model also sounded like a tortured squirrel when I was raising it.
Anyone have experience with sewing at fast speeds in standing mode on flexispot, uplift, ikea, or others?
