DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a complaint or attack. This is merely a suggestion. If anything, I'm genuinely worried for Moro as i believe that there is real risk of burnout.
So, it's been 2 years since the start of Indie Cross and over 1 year since the release of episode one. Perfectly understandable. Moro is one person doing ~80% of the total work and 100% of the animation and releasing studio quality productions FOR FREE.
But, 1+ year wait for each episode is still extremely long. It's nowhere near long enough for IC fans forget about the series, but I fear that it will make it harder for the series to gain more attention and grow its fan base (which it very much deserves to).
That's why I propose that Moro should hire a (small) animation team to shorten the time between episode releases and prevent burnout (which is absolutely a possibility).
Of course, this leads to another problem: money.
For this, I propose another solution: crowdfunding.
Indie Cross already has a strong and supportive fandom. I'm sure that many of you would gladly sign up to a Patreon (or similar) if Moro set one up.
Alternatively, if that won't be enough, them why not set up a Kickstarter page? There are significant fees, but, I reiterate that IC already has a significant fan base. What's more, is that the 2 episodes already released should assure people of the high quality of the series.
By the way, jusy a few months ago, the 2 man animation team Soem Studios came out of the blue with their Kickstarter project "SCP Gallionic" and made just over 4 times their goal of 72000 Euros! So Indie Cross could definitely find more support there.
My last suggestion for funding (and this is, by all means, a loooong shot) is... reach out to Glitch Studios. They literally have a program where they fund Indie animators. Again, an unlikely scenario considering that Indie Cross has lots of different IPs.
Welp, that's my two cents.
P.S. Now, I am by no means, an expert on international copyright laws. So if all of what i just said is completely impossible and stupid, feel free to say "No Merasmus, you soul-reaping chud! That would land Moro 99 back-to-back life sentences under subsection 8-3 of section 8 of the International LARP Act..." or something similar ig.
