Incoming 1st Year Student in BS Nutrition and Dietetics

Hello po! 🥹

I’m an incoming BS Nutrition and Dietetics student, and honestly I’m both excited and nervous for this new journey. 💚

I am also a cancer survivor, and because of my experiences, I really grew to love and appreciate the field of nutrition and dietetics. I have my own nutritionist-dietitian, and seeing how nutrition truly helps people made me realize that this is my dream course.

I believe people should learn to be more in tune with their health and not just blindly follow random advice on the internet because “one size fits all” does not apply to everyone. I’ve encountered so many people saying things like “don’t eat this,” “sugar feeds cancer,” and many other myths that are not always scientifically proven or properly explained.

Because of my nutritionist-dietitian, I learned not to fear food but to appreciate it and eat in moderation instead of hating certain foods because of misinformation from uneducated people online. Nutrition made me see food as something that can nourish, heal, and improve quality of life when approached properly. 🥹

Do you have any tips, recommendations, or advice for surviving and enjoying this course? Especially book recommendations, study materials, apps, or anything that helped you during your ND journey.

I would also really appreciate any insights, motivations, realizations, or encouraging words from students or graduates of this course huhu. Thank you so much po! ✨

Problem/Goal:

I’m looking for napkin/pad recommendations that are suitable for sensitive skin because I easily get rashes and irritation from some brands. I’m hoping to find one that’s soft, breathable, comfortable for long wear, and “hiyang” for me😭.

Context:

My go-to before was a specific Whisper variant because it was the only one that didn’t cause irritation or discomfort down there. Unfortunately, I can no longer find it in stores, so I’ve been trying other brands and variants lately.

Previous Attempts:

I’ve already tried switching to a few other pads, but some felt too rough, too thick, not breathable enough, or ended up causing redness/rashes after a few hours of use—especially with the heat and long days outside. Sorry guys can't remeber the brand and what kind they are since I bought tingi tingi lang. Because of that, I’m becoming extra careful with what I use now.

And also what are the difference between a thick and a thin pads?

If you have recommendations for napkins/pads that work well for sensitive skin, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you so much, girlies! 💕
