So i had 10 sparkling gourami and lost 8 to a ph crash. Leaving just these two in the tank. This tiny one in front is very alert and lovely but is just so very small and not shiny at all. Ive actually been waiting for it to keel over during that ph crash thinking surely it will be the next one to go as im urgently trying to fix things, and it never is. (Which im happy about i dont like losing any!!!) But i was wondering if i should give it extra protein or what?

I feed bug bites small fish, bloodworms and brine shrimp on rotation depending on work schedule.

I (28F) was venting to my boyfriend (24M) that i was frustrated with my 2 jobs because job A while paying less, is ideal because it doesnt ask for much and i can pull 2x the shifts for it in comparison to job B with the same energy. Job A also allows me to choose my own schedule and there is a healthy communication between me and my employer who (at no fault of his own) is forced to limit my overtime for the sake of budget. I would pull 80 at job A if i could, and am eligible for a supervisor position at Job A (my manager contacted me to be placed in the pool of applicants) But job B has little to no communication and its difficult to get shifts for multiple reasoning, it is the same field (the jobs are conflicts of interest technically) but when i DO get shifts they want the absolute most out if me and is exhausting, for about $2+/per hour. Yes, it pays more, but it requires 3x the work attention and effort.

While venting this my boyfriend seemed a bit dissatisfied and kind of encouraged me to suck it up, aaand did at one point say directly that i was in the wrong using an example like if he worked at mcdonalds and was complaining that it was just flipping burgers or because the work was too much would i tell him to suck it up its a job? To which i said no, id literally agree with you, mcdonalds staff is maybe not necessarily underpaid, but certainly over worked and exhausting. I then attempted to compare a hypothetical of 2 jobs where the goal and pay at the end of the day consisted of putting apples from a field in a basket at the warehouse, one you can bring the basket with you to carry multiple apples from the field at once, and put the apples in the basket, but the other wants you to tie your right hand to your left ankle and do the same task.

I got busy just now so i may have sciffed the details near the end. Whos in the wrong?
