I knew my son was ADHD and Gifted from a VERY young age. It wasn't a surprise but it's been a struggle. He loves learning but went from loving school to LOATHING it. He's asks questions about why he had to do work over and over again when he knows it and has shown he knows it. Now he's at the point he just doesn't do the work and goofs off in class. He's bored and unchallenged. The teachers reach out expressing his inability to complete work and his distracting the class. I speak with him, give tips about ways to stay on task etc. We have discussed changing schools but he is "quirky" to other kids so it can be hard for hin to make true friends but he is also relatively your typical kid (if that makes sense).

Do my question is if any parents experienced this what did you decide to do? Stay public? Charter? Magnet? Private? What helped your kid?
