Renew COE or change to another used car?
I recently got a Honda Civic 1.6A VTI that expires in Feb 2027. My idea at the start was to renew 5 years COE and drive all the way and scrap it.
Now I’m in a dilemma as my PARF value is high(10.7k rebate) + COE prices are high now, so could changing to another used car actually be more worth it as compared to renewing COE?
The car condition is still very good I’d say for a 9.5 years car, mileage only about 88000km which is very low.
People tell me that if I want to renew, just go straight for 10 years but it’s abit tough for me for the downpayment for 10 years as compared to 5 years which is more affordable as I need to downpay lesser for the same amount of instalment.
Would like to get some advice on this
