Probably a hot take : Eternal + DLC on nightmare was one of the best S tier experieces I've ever had, I played TDA recently and decided to play my first time on UV, and tbh the combat was fun but underwhelming as the game was relatively easy compared to eternal
Fast forward to now to my second playthrough, I bumped the difficulty to nightmare + these sliders settings: 130% speed, smallest parry window, 300% damage to player, daze duration at 50%, with the highest enemy aggression and projectile speed
And hollyyy shii how transformative the experience is, the combat now is as addictive as eternal for how brutal it is, the speed feels right (and what should have been by default IMO) and every encounter needs a proper strategy rather than going through enemies like it's nothing, can't wait to try 150% speed + 500% damage to player + 50% damage to enemies lmao, also a DLC will definetly bring this game to a legendary status in my book, similar to eternal (DLC was the highlight of eternal for me)
Also other notes : the music in this game grew on me a lot, it just feels right for the pace and theme, also reducing the number of glory kills animations was for sure the right call, as the number of enemies in the arenas is crazy high, I can't imagine sitting through hundreds of glory kills animations
Tl;Dr : if you have felt that TDA wasn't as enjoyable as eternal, crank up the difficulty using the sliders, the default difficulties are made accessible for a wider and more casual audience
