Is it hard to date here as a black man?

I’m curious what other people’s experiences have been dating in Mobile as a black man. I’ve been in the city for seven years and I been trying to put myself out there more, meet new people, and actually get out of my comfort zone, but sometimes it feels harder than expected here. It seems like most of the time I feel more feared or not wanted. I’m 26 if that matters by the way.

Is it just me or does the dating scene feel kinda small/cliquey? Where do people even meet others nowadays besides apps? I’d like to hear honest experiences from both men and women in the city.

Also, sorry if this is a touchy subject for some people but I been curious about this for some time now.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to get more active and work some cardio into my routine, but I’m honestly getting bored of doing the same thing over and over. I figured getting out and walking around the city might help switch things up a bit.

Do you guys have any go-to spots for walking that actually feel enjoyable? Parks, trails, scenic routes, chill neighborhoods—anything that makes cardio feel less like a chore.

I’m mainly just trying to stay consistent and get moving more, so any suggestions would help a lot. Appreciate it!
