FET protocol after excision laparoscopy

Has anyone had something similar after an excision laparoscopy? My clinic want me to do a fully medicated FET however it’s not something I really want to do. They also don’t personalise to endo patients either 🙄 from looking all over this group and Reddit etc. I’ve come across a protocol which I think looks really good and I feel more comfortable with. Has anyone else had something similar?

- Day of surgery have my first Lupron injection.
- Suppress for 4-6 weeks.
- Week 4-6 a natural bleed occurs or induce with norethisterone. Give it some time.
- When the bleed occurs have the baseline scan and bloods to check ovaries are responsive again.
- CD3-7 start Letrozole.
- CD8-12 monitor with scans.
- When the follicle is ready do a trigger.
- Start vaginal progesterone and lubion injections.
- 3-5 days before transfer start prednisone. Also start Claritin and Pepcid.
- Clexane start on trigger day or transfer day.
- Then transfer.

Supporting evidence/research/clinic reports that endometriosis can affect IVF outcomes

I’m hoping someone may know where to guide me for research, evidence or basically anything that can confirm endometriosis can affect egg quality, implantation rates etc.

I have a complaint meeting with my fertility clinic on Tuesday and I’d like to go in fully equipped for whatever excuses they may give. Basically since the start of IVF I’ve been raising concerns about endometriosis. I kept getting fobbed off and told I just have painful periods, I ovulate fine and my cycles or normal so I’m fine. Blamed it all on my partner. Also that even if I did have endometriosis they wouldn’t do anything differently as there’s not enough evidence to suggest otherwise. Two transfers later I decided enough was enough and sought help from an endometriosis specialist and I was diagnosed. I’m having an excision laparoscopy soon.

I know they’re going to give me the run around so I’m trying to be prepared 😬

Spire (UK) Laparoscopy - same day or overnight if I’m having afternoon surgery?

Originally they asked me to be at spire Cardiff for 7am however they called yesterday and asked if I could be there for 11:45am now. I know excision laparoscopy is day surgery but I’m just curious at what point is the cut off for saying you need to stay overnight? Such as how soon after surgery are you discharged etc.

We’ve been in our new build now for 4 years and slowly getting there. I hate the new build vibe of gardens so I’m trying to bring in as much greenery as I can. Along the back I have a border with some climbers and roses etc. along the side I have honeysuckle and star jasmine (that side is a work in progress). This is where the typical new build stuff comes in because we had to raise one side of the garden as it wasn’t level, when you’re stood down that end of the garden you can see over the fence onto the driveway and street. My daughter has a play area at the bottom with her raised playhouse and trampoline which means people walking past can also see her. At some point we will replace the fence with something higher but that’s not within our price range at the minute due to paying for IVF. On the corner of the raised but though I did build a large raised planter. I’d like to plant a small/dwarf tree there as it’ll block out the view onto the driveway. This is where I’m stuck though as I don’t really know where to start! My local garden centre advised a Malus Evereste Crabapple, would that be ok? I do like cherry blossoms but I they can be quite troublesome with roots but most of the time they’re pretty bare. Is there anything else I could look at? I love magnolias but they’re too big, unless there’s a dwarf magnolia? But they’re mostly quite bare as well 😂 we’re also in a south facing garden and the area the tree is going will get full sun most of the day, it gets very hot. I’ve tried quite a few smaller plants/flowers in there and they end up dying 🙄

I’m having a laparoscopy in 2 weeks to remove endo. We’ve done two IVF transfers so far and neither have worked so for our remaining transfer I want to try everything we can, especially now we know I have endometriosis. My clinic have advised either a medicated FET or natural with trigger. I’ve also got a phone call with my endo specialist just before surgery to get his advice on next steps with IVF.

I’m leaning more towards a natural FET with a trigger as I don’t want to ramp up the endo with added estrogen in a medicated FET. I was wondering if anyone has ever suppressed for say 4/5 weeks and then let your body naturally start its cycle and done a natural FET? I’m planning on doing the transfer in July/August so I have time to suppress after the lap. We’re also going to add in prednisone this time. Has anyone also added in LDN? Or Letrozole?

We visited a local rescue centre today to view some cats. The lady was really lovely and shown us the cats that would be suitable in a home with a child. Understandably there wasn’t a massive option pool as they are rescue cats, which we already knew as we’ve been looking for over 6 months. There was one boy, approx 2 years old who we all gravitated towards. He was also the most placid cat. Very loving and loved head scratches. Now the only thing that’s made me think twice is he didn’t play at all 😂 fine with me but my daughter would like a cat she’d be able to entertain with cat toys etc. I don’t have much knowledge of cats but could this be becuase he doesn’t know us? Because he’s in a rescue with many cats so hasn’t had the chance to let his personality come out? Or could he just be the cutest but laziest cat? 😂
