Today I went to the dentist and got x rays for the first time in my 31 years of life and found out I have 8 cavities. I couldn’t afford a dentist because my mom and brothers teeth have needed a lot of work so they came first and I helped my mom with her teeth financially. When I was a teen/kid I was never taken to the dentist. When I opened my mouth the dentist said “wow” and he made me feel so extremely embarrassed and ashamed my teeth don’t even look bad and I always brush but I’m not good at remembering to floss :( I made an appointment for next week to get the fillings but I almost don’t even want to go because I am so afraid and ashamed to go back
