Looking for some advice over the wording of a situation
Hello, and I hope this is the best place to ask such a thing. I am looking for a term, or phrase, that HR would use to describe this situation.
Let us say that Person A is being made fun of, in the workplace, by 3 people, B, C and D. All three are equal in their actions. But A is more friends with B and D.
A makes a formal complaint against C, but not the others. B and D are not ever mentioned.
While C acknowledges they did make fun of him, they wish to make a counter that they are being singled out unfairly.
I am looking for the term that C would use to describe this? (if it exists, of course)
