So this country artist (Ella Langely) got a hit breakout song from this one lyric her dad said
I was listening to Ella Langley on a podcast the other stay and she was talking about what helped her get a breakout song, she said something pretty interesting about how she got inspo for her writing
Her Dad said one day, “darling i love you from the bottom of my boots to the top of my hat” and in that moment, she was like damm.... thats a great lyric.
Now that lyric which feels super unique and relatable is on her album (which is blowing up btw), if im getting in the nitty I’d say its a flip on the super common idiom (saying), the OG being "i love you from the bottom of my heart", but then she gave it a unique country spin.
feel like that’s where a lot of the best lines actually come from a combination… just noticing stuff people already say, and how people naturally flip idioms in there own way.
Ive actually been going through the all the idioms in the English language on ProLyrics and seeing how I can flip them.
anyone else write like this or nah
