context: I, 32/F, have grown my hair (1C) out for the first time ever. I've never had it beyond my shoulders but now it reaches my lower back/hips. I absolutely love it - the tactile sensation is amazing (!!! AMAZING) esp with open-backed clothing, and it looks super good left loose HOWEVER ->

Issue: IT GETS EVERYWHERE. When i'm writing - it falls onto the table and book and i just have to grab handfuls and move them aside. Everytime i turn my head it wraps over my face and neck. It keeps floating around when i move and falls into things/gets caught in things etc. THE NUMBER OF TIMES IV INADVERTENTLY PINNED A BUNCH DOWN WITH MY ELBOW AND ENDED UP RIPPING A CLUMP OUT WHILE GETTING UP IS INSANE. But the worst of all to me, is that i have a slight mysophobist streak and i dont want it touching random things

I KNOW the obvious fix is tying it up, but then it just looks way shorter and kind of defeats the purpose of having grown it so long. Also, it looks lovely down.

Is there any trick to make it functional without compromising on my vanity? like styling tips/products?

Thank you!
