Fertilize my yard for the first time as a new homeowner this year. Yes, I have a Scott spreader. After research, I thought the key to prevent lines in the lawn was to do half application in One Direction and half application the other, making a great across your lawn. Obviously I did something wrong. Any tips? I’ve had the lawn from sod for the past two years, never fertilized it since. Really thought I did enough research to get this to look OK but now I have a checkerboard in my backyard.
