In middle/high school, we had to get this kind of calculator, and it was actually pretty good for most tasks. We weren’t allowed to use graphing calculators, though.
For the last two years of high school, I had to get a new one because the old one was slowly breaking. It cost €10, and I still love it for quick calculations.
This one is now around 25 years old, and the buttons are getting hard to press. Unfortunately, I can’t find a good replacement that’s as small as this one but has the same number of features.
