I'm wondering what the best benchmark ball would be for me as a 2 hander with a ball speed of about 17.5 to 18 mph off my hand and about 350 to 400 revs.

I'd strongly prefer a symmetrical solid, and have a few ideas in mind: Storm Phaze 2, Hammer Hazmat Solid, 900 Global Vengeance, Storm Monsoon.

But if anyone has any other ideas for a good benchmark ball besides those for my style please let me know!

Would the Storm Monsoon be a good ball for transition in league?

I currently have a Storm Typhoon that I love to use when the lanes are completely toast in late game 3, but I haven't had a ton of success with it during game 2 when the lanes are still breaking down.

It's got me wondering if the Monsoon being a solid version of that would really blend out the over/under that my center gets when we hit game 2.

Everything that I'm seeing about the Monsoon says that it's a benchmark piece, so I'm worried that it will be too strong for what I need in that situation.

Would it be a good idea to get this ball for transition, or would it be smarter to get a different transition ball? And if there's a better ball for the transition that you'd recommend, please let me know!

What are the ideal characteristics for a transition ball? Usually around the middle of game 2 the lanes start to get cliffed pretty bad and I was wondering what the ideal ball for that situation would be.

Would it be better to use a weaker solid ball that is going to blend out the cliff and come back into the pocket really smooth? Or would it be a better idea to switch to a pearl that's going to push all the way to the end of the pattern and then snap back hard?

And do you have any specific ball recommendations for transition?
