My first time in Elyu didn’t really match what I expected. I came straight from a night shift and drove almost 7 hours to San Fernando. Pickup a friend and go straight to Elyu. I was exhausted but still excited. When we arrived, that’s when everything started going wrong. The Airbnb we booked got cancelled 24 hours after we arrived. The place looked legit, the photos were good, the location was right, but the host disappeared. It was a scam 🖕. I was too drained to even complain, so our only option was to head straight to San Juan where the bars are.

After 30 minutes, we got there. We just changed clothes inside the car, no shower, just went with it. When we arrived, it was packed. No parking, everything was full. I told my friend this wasn’t what I expected. I thought we’d find a long stretch of shoreline with chill spots, but it felt like “Pobla” all over again. “Hindi kasi eto ang beach nasa ibang part yun”, he said. There was no signal either, data was down. So we had no choice but to just enjoy what we could. We ate, had a few drinks, then got tired. There are other available accommodations but I think its too much 💵.

While we were there, I thought if we were going to stay in the car anyway, we might as well drive around and see what else we could find. That’s when things shifted. Sayang ang gas!

We found a quiet spot in Agoo. No crowd, no noise, just simple and calm. After two days of being tired and dealing with failed plans, that moment felt right. ❤️. Fell in love with the place, set up my camping chair and wait for the sunrise.

Around 8 AM, we tried booking another nearby place but it failed twice, so it felt like a sign to just head home and call it a day. Sabi ko nga, yung patience ko marami pa, pero ang energy ko, konteng konte na lang and I’m so done booking on AirBnB!

This trip wasn’t what I expected, but it still turned out to be fun in its own way.

**I also almost got into an accident. Twice I forgot to put my car, Rain, into park naka handbreak lang. The last one was really 😱. Dala siguro ng puyat at pagod. Lalo na dun sa kasama ko. Good thing nothing bad happened. Definitely a lesson learned.

Elyu didn’t give me the trip I planned, but it gave me a story I won’t forget.

I will definitely go back to Elyu! I just don’t know when. 🤪

As a travel content creator, you always look for extravagance but we failed to appreciate small things like this. Look how this plant struggled and survived.

Love to wake up with the view like this! Super calming and perfect way to reboot! This could be your next travel destination! Share this to anyone who haven’t been to Elyu Ph!

Got my 2nd account suspended and upon successful appeal on the first. I got this! You were working had to do contents and do what you love and Meta, what ever you are doing is not helping. You closed down two of my accounts for no reason. What a shame!

My 15 years old account got disabled for a community standards issue. Thats includes my FB . Now, I have created a new IG account and I just got suspended twice. First appeal was a success but W*F, really? What I am very curious is that do they have people who we can actually reach to ask questions about? What are they really up to?
