BigLaw firms are actually doing summer recruiting before 1L even starts???
I saw the listings a few months back but seeing it on LinkedIn is actually crazy.

I'm in a 2-year program, and I took out loans for this first year, but I got a scholarship halfway through that I used to hurriedly pay off that loan, but now I'm worried that I won't get grandfathered status for the second year of my program because I paid in full already.
This is a purely theoretical exercise
Apparently it's a position that works 9-5 and gets paid slightly more than first year associates. Obviously no upward mobility or potential for partner, but for people who have no ambition to be partner and are already salivating at the first year pay (but dread the billable hours) this sounds like a dream.
