Thinking about dipping again

Hi everyone…..thinking about doing dip nails again for myself. I recently went to a salon for the first time in years for acrylic nails and the entire time just kind of felt like, if I’m going to do this….maybe I should do it myself ( didn’t help that I got nicked and bled a bit while she was filing my nails)

The main reason I stopped was because I could not get my nails to last more than 2-3 days. I use sensitive liquids to avoid dip flu and because I’m extremely sensitive to smells.

Just wondering 1) if you dip with sensitive liquids what do you recommend and do you get decent wear from it, like longer then 2-3 days?

The first pic is my salon mani, the second is the last mani I did on myself. Is there a huge different between the two?

I kind of loved the me time and doing my own nails…..I enjoyed the creative process, but if I’m investing 3-4 hours I would like to get more then only a few days out of them.

Mild/Moderate MR, no MVP mentioned but scared

HI....hoping this is the right board as I don't have MVP, but I was just diagnosed this week with Mild/Moderate MR (50 y/o F).

Really just looking for others experience with this type of new diagnosis, I'm really stressed and scared. My dr did go over the results with me, and was extremely patient and kind, and of course told me not to worry, but I feel like a ticking time bomb.

The reading Dr actually rated me as Moderate MR, but my cardiologist said had he read and recorded the report, he would have classified me as Mild-Moderate. He thinks the other dr classified me higher because they have no baseline to compare anything else to, but that the rest of my numbers were good.

He said they will be monitoring me closely to establish a baseline, so I go for another ECHO in 6 months, and a follow up appt in July beforehand. He said if everything remains the same in October, then I can be considered stable, but if it progresses, then of course we have to eventually discuss valve replacement. The thought of that surgery makes me sick.

Just looking for some hope and a way to deal and accept this new diagnosis

Hi! I have been toying with the idea of a second machine for a while now. Currently have the Tula Pink 770QE and I love her, but she is a heavy girl…..and I have to switch out my desk whenever I want to sew. So I was thinking if I’m not quilting maybe a smaller machine might be better.

Anyone have the 475? Wondering what you think of it? Thanks!
