I told my immediate family about my cousin who sexually abused me when i was about 5-8yrs of age (they were 6yrs older than me)
They completely believed me and supported me and were hurt for me.
My cousin is very prominent in our lives as we all live very close together and he visits our grandparents home daily and we all live literally beside each other so I see him often
At first my parents and siblings were hating on him, calling him this and that and supporting me by just ignoring him whenever he was around
But I feel they have slowly forgotten about my past trauma and are now talking to him.. my sister went drinking with him and took photos together and shared them and said "was hilarious what he did last night" and my parents pay him to do labour on the house like gardening.. they have also started to give him a ride if he needs one
Im just confused and need advice on how to feel or what to do about this.. because I understand it isnt their trauma but I will forever see him for the monster he is so I dont understand how they can just forget about something so awful
