NH35A new stem not locking in?
I'm trying to repair my dad's Invicta 8930 and I got a new crown and stem from Invicta but I cannot get this to lock in the movement. I trimmed it to what I believe is the right length and I even took it out of the case just in the event I cut it to short and to bypass the case being in the way.
Ive tried the wiggle technique and even with some force it still doesn't want to go in.
Pic 1: it almost looks and feels like the new stem won't fit past the opening of the stem slot on the movement.
Pic 2: I can get the watch to make a "winding" sound when I push the stem in as far as it goes and this gear moves a little bit but the hand do not move. The second hand still sweeps.
I know the watch isn't super expensive and I might just either buy a new movement and put in or just buy him another watch just like this to replace it.
Any help would be appreciated.
