We see that the Fiends were created by human magic users around the year 12,000 BC. By the year 600 AD, they were the only magic users left and declared war on humanity. They lost that war, but they were still around in 1000 AD. However, we do not see any fiends, besides Belthasar's assistant, in the year 2300 AD, and we don't really see any in the year 1999 either. So did the fiends die off sometime between 1000 and 1999, or were they killed when Lavos attacked in 1999?

There have 4 Iron Man animated series, but only two are worth discussing. The 60s show had a budget of 6 dollars and was essentially a motion comic, and Iron Man and His Awesome Friends is aimed at toddlers and holds no interest for me. So that leaves the animated series from 1994 and the Iron Man Armored Adventures from 2009.

I like the second season of the 90s series, but that first season is pretty bad. It feels like an 80s show in the 90s and just seems dated right away, a ton of villains and heroes with no real characterization just to sell toys and nonsense plots. The second season is a great improvement; both the heroes and the villains got more characterization, and the plots got deeper.

Armored Adventures is a huge departure from the comics, but that doesn't make it bad. I think it had more consistent writing than the 90s show, but I can see some people just being a fan of aging down the characters and sticking them in high school.

Which animated series did you prefer?
